Silicone Practice Supports
Begin by inserting the right size tips for each nail into the corresponding finger canal of your practice hand. Lightly spray IPA70% on the back of each nail tip. This helps them glide smoothly into the finger canal. Push each tip into the deep canal as far as it will comfortably go and until it feels firmly in place and is ready to be used.
Once done, you can perform any technique: nail art, acrylic nails, gel nails, etc. The practice hand is adapted for use under LED and UV lamps.
After finishing, simply remove the nail tips. To facilitate easier removal, spray a little water between the tips and the silicone for smooth glide.
If gel polish, base, or top coat gets on the surface of the silicone, simply wipe it off using nail cleaner. You can also remove the nail products from the surface after they have been cured under the UV/LED lamp.
FormsFix™ is an innovative and professional solution designed to securely attach various types of sculpting nail forms—including paper, aluminum, and plastic-backed forms—to a silicone practice hand. It provides a solid and reliable platform for fitting different sizes of nail forms, from short salon-length extensions to intricate championship-worthy designs.
Whether you're working with gel, using liquid & powder or acrygel, which require heavier brush pressure, FormsFix™ ensures your form stays securely in place until you're ready to remove it.
The sculpting nail forms can be attached, peeled off, repositioned and attached again to the FormsFix without it sliding off and obstructing the cuticle area.
Just like when working with a real person, you should avoid touching the silicone skin with your nail file or nail bit. Contact between the file and the silicone can damage the external lifelike colouring of the silicone. We advise creating the tips’ shape away from the practice hand to prevent silicone surface abrasion.
Use soap and water (cold or hot) to clean the silicone surface. If the surface is heavily soiled, you can also use a soft brush.
If necessary, you can disinfect the silicone surface with Isopropyl alcohol (IPA70%).
For the models with an embedded magnet, it is important to ensure that the magnet does not make contact with any water. You many dip other areas of the hand into water in order to clean it. To clean the side where the magnet is housed, please wipe around the area carefully with a wet wipe or damp cloth and dry immediately.
Do not immerse your silicone practice support in acetone. This will deform your practice support and will make the silicone brittle.
You can wipe the silicone surface with Isopropyl alcohol (IPA70%).
Do not bend the fingers into an abnormal position. Bend the built-in armature in the fingers with care without making any sudden repeated, or unnatural, movements (flexion-extension).
Do not apply any type of oil (including cuticle oil) to the silicone surface. This will make the surface shiny.
Do not cut silicone, especially the fine cuticle area. You can damage the practice hand doing this.
